Band of Changes has evolved over the past twenty years and culls from a lively music scene whose home base is Princeton, New Jersey and whose songs are centered around the writing and guitar playing of Chris Harford.

The newest release, SHIMMERING WASTE, is a collection of songs from over the years. The record’s opener and closers are Daniel Johnston covers recorded on four track cassette as duets with Stephanie Sanders on piano and Chris on vocals. Others were recorded by Martin McCardell, Mickey Melchoindo, Robbie Mangano, Reed Black and Kevin Salem.

The cover photograph was taken by Chalkie Davies at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Musicians on this release feature Stephanie Sanders, Robbie Mangano, Jon Shaw, Joe Russo, Nigel Smith, Noriko Manabe, Ray Kubian, Hub Moore, Jeff Weiderschall, and Kevin Salem.

Irish poet Paul Muldoon penned the lyrics to “Jezebel Was A Jersey Girl”, “Buddy & Billy” and “Wanted” with the music written by Chris Harford. “Billionaire Blues” was written by Earl Shuman, arranged and produced by Robbie Mangano.

“Bone Collection” features a drum track by Joe Russo recorded by Reed Black. The rest being recorded by Martin McCardell and “We Are” was written with Hub Moore, Jeff Weiderschall and Kevin Salem with lyrics penned by Mark Mulcahy.
